Event Details:

Join us in the Great Hall at the Fleming College Haliburton School of Art and Design for a FREE Art Talk! Emily Chudnovsky’s practice consists of collecting organic remnants and synthetic decay in order to draw out new iterations, connections and regenerations through sculpture-based installations. In this talk, she will discuss her use of discarded materials and her calls to question our human-made boundaries of nature and waste. Her site-specific research has taken place in the Yukon, Northern Scotland, Southern California, and Ontario. Most recently she installed a large-scale floating installation in the Peter Street Basin Park built from microplastic materials and invasive water plants.
